University Hills has a history as interesting as its architecture. Cyrus Willmore purchased the land from James G. Creveling in 1922 and 1923 started the University Hills subdivision. Mr. Willmore was known for the quality of his work and University Hills is a prime example. In 1986, the Missouri Office of Historic Preservation completed an Historic Inventory of each home as well as the First Presbyterian Church. We would like to thank the Missouri Office of Historic Preservation for allowing us to present the entire inventory to you in the Download section below.
If you would like additional historical information, The Historical Society of University City sells the booklet "University Hills: A Brief History of Its Planning and Development" by Esley Hamilton at the University City Public Library.
