We ask that you please prioritize the following neighborhood requirements. These will help us all to be better neighbors and to have a more attractive neighborhood for all to enjoy. Thank you for helping!
- Garbage cans, lawn & leaf bags, or bundles should be set out at the curb no earlier than Tuesday late afternoon before a Wednesday pickup. Cans should be removed from the street no later than 5 pm on Wednesday, the day of pickup. This is a University City ordinance.
- Please keep your dogs from excessively barking. Also, when out walking your dog in the neighborhood, carry bags with you and please make sure to cleanup anything that your dog may leave behind.
- To report a non-functioning streetlight, call Ameren Missouri at 800-552-7583. Look for a tag at the top of the light with a number that starts with the letter U. Report that number to Ameren when you make the call. Ameren will replace the bulb in 7-10 days.
- Please contact the Trustees (trustees@uhillssub.org) if you are constructing a building, deck, porch, patio, fence, wall, railing, other structure, or making any other exterior addition or change. Refer to our indentures on our website and submit the “Approval for Construction” form to Trustees as required.
- Ensure drains in the street in front of your house are clear of leaves so that water can flow properly.
- The indentures do not allow advertising signs in yards. Political, subdivision & certain real estate signs are acceptable but be respectful of quantity and length of time left up.
- If you need a dumpster for demolition or construction needs, please notify the Trustees. We would prefer dumpsters be placed behind houses and/or in driveways, but if that is not possible, Trustees may grant authorization for dumpsters on the street for a short time. Be protective of our streets. The homeowner is responsible for any damage to the streets as a result of construction.
- Portable toilets, if needed for construction needs, should ALWAYS be in the back of the house & not visible from the street!
- In the fall, please refrain from blowing leaves into the street until the last couple days before the scheduled pickup.
- Please do NOT put your yard waste or branches in our islands!
- All trustees have keys to our gates. Upon request, gates can be opened as needed.
