After Storm Information - Update Tuesday 5/20/2025 10:00 PM

Dear University Hills Neighbors,

  • Update Wednesday 5/21/2025 10:00 AM

  • University City is now going to clean up the remaining tree branches and debris in the neighborhood.
  • St Louis Tree Pros began the cleanup on Monday morning. A portion of the subdivision was cleared. However, University City has now agreed to finish the cleanup, saving us valuable dollars that can be used for more important projects. This will be your tax dollars at work, not your subdivision dollars.
  • University City will begin the work on Thursday (Tomorrow) 5/22/2025.
  • The gates in the subdivision will remain open during the cleanup process.

  • Update Sunday 5/18/2025 10:00 PM

  • As you all know by now, the major damage, near us from the storm, was centered around Big Bend at Wydown over to Skinker. Other areas in the city and county were also impacted.
  • Our daughter lives just south of Big Bend and Wydown and her subdivision looks like a bomb went off. She told me today that all of the people we work with the regarding trees in our subdivision were in her subdivision today helping out. My thanks to each of them for their help. Andy Berg, Zack Yager, Gabe Waterhouse, and Dave Gunn all were there to help many of the people in that area.
  • All of the tree companies are buried with work helping clean up the city from trees and the potential for still lingering issues.
  •  Even with all of the issues around St Louis,

  • St Louis Tree Pros will be in our neighborhood tomorrow morning (Monday 5/19) to start our cleanup.  We will update the subdivision as we hear more news.

  • Update Friday 5/16/2025
  • The recent storm on Friday 5/16/2025 did not cause any major damage to the subdivision and fortunately, no one was hurt.
  • Areas near Washington University weren’t so lucky and were hit pretty hard.
  • The Trustees were out in our neighborhood immediately following the storm to review the damage and begin to take action to clean up the debris.

  • If you have any tree debris in your yards, please move it to the curb where we will have it picked up as soon as possible. We know there are a couple of cases where the fallen branches are rather large. Those will also be cut up and also removed.

  • This will take a team effort to get the neighborhood back to normal. But with your help and the contractor we hire for the pickup, we can get the subdivision cleaned up in a reasonable amount of time.

Thank you,

The University Hills Trustees
